"Investment activity accelerated in the second quarter of 2019, allowing the market to near the €14 billion mark in the first six months of the year, 3% more than the figure observed one year ago. The first six months of 2019 were particularly marked by the emergence of South Korean investors, who generated more than €2 billion, i.e. 21% of the amounts invested in the Paris region"

"In the first half of 2019, take-up stood at 1,102,000 sq. m, down -19% compared with the first six months of 2018. However, this fall indicates a return to calm rather than a real weakness in the rental market. With less than 3 million sq m vacant, immediate supply remains on a negative trajectory (-7% year on year), The combination of a take-up that is still above the 10-year average and the contraction of supply is increasing the pressure on rental values"

"Although the slowdown is indisputable, office take-up in Île-de-France outstripped the ten-year average (535,270 sqm), proof of the good performance of the Ile-de-France market. At a total of 2.9 million sqm across Île-de-France, immediate supply is still dwindling (down 7% y-o-y). Vacancy rates are low throughout the region, with the average currently standing at 5.4% (down from 5.8% in Q1 2018)."

"The French market had never seen such high investment levels. Corporate real estate generated an investment volume of almost €32.5 billion in France during 2018. The previous record dates back to 2007, when the market hovered around the €30 billion mark."

"For the year as a whole, take-up reached 2.5million sqm, down 5% on the 2017 figure of 2.6 million sqm. Considering that 2017 was an exceptional year, this slackening should be viewed in context — 2018’s take-up figure is still far higher than the ten-year average (2.33 million sqm)."

"Paris’s prime market records its best performance since 2011 ● Average price of Paris residential property stands at €9,300psm● Prime Paris prices increased by 3.5% in year to June 2018● International buyers now account for 16% of the prime market, up from 9% in 2016"
